Doctors Without Borders continues to do amazing work throughout the world, and in each case I would echo your thoughts that such situations need to end as soon as possible. Long term, the challenge is to prevent such tragedies from occurring in the first place.

This story makes me particularly sad as this hits home for me. I knew a sri-lanki couple growing up and they were absolutely lovely people. One of his sisters ran off and married a tamil fighter.
