The effects of climate change continue to alter our planet’s ecosystems, and the Climate Reality Project continues to present facts relating to the climate crisis and engage the public in meaningful conversation about how we can solve it by working together. International recording star Jason Mraz has joined the cause and is asking everyone to convince Congress that legislation is badly needed. Here’s his message:
When I play my music, I always hope I serve a purpose greater than myself. And I care deeply about finding a solution to the biggest problem we face on our planet. That’s global climate change, caused by pollution from human beings like you & me.
Maybe you already know something about climate change. This winter I learned a lot more about it by joining Al Gore on a trip to Antarctica, where climate change is more visible and scary than almost anywhere else. This trip to the bottom of the world was truly a once-in-a-lifetime experience. I saw penguins standing on top of ice that’s melting fast. I saw for myself, up close and personal, how our beautiful planet is under threat.
We can’t just sit back and do nothing. And today, there’s something you can do. Tell the White House to cut down on the carbon pollution that causes global warming. You can do it right now: It only takes one click of your finger.
Founded and chaired by Al Gore, Nobel Laureate and former Vice President of the United States, The Climate Reality Project now has more than 5 million members & supporters worldwide. It is guided by one simple truth:
The climate crisis is real and we know how to solve it!
