Blog Action Day 2012 – The Power of We!

by Mark Lovett on October 15, 2012

Each of us is able to effect change on a daily basis, though our thoughts, words, and most importantly, our actions.  But when you combine the efforts of others – thousands, or even millions – real change happens on a national and global basis, and it’s the kind of change that can be long-lasting – all due to the Power of We!

The Story of Stuff Project has been educating us all in this regard for many years with their list of creative videos covering important topics such as:

  • The Story of Stuff
  • The Story of Cap & Trade
  • The Story of Bottled Water
  • The Story of Cosmetics
  • The Story of Electronics
  • The Story of Citizens United
  • The Story of Broke

You will find the Power of We in all of their videos, as wide-ranging change cannot occur without large numbers of citizens getting on board and supporting a shift in consciousness.  The Story of Change is the latest video, and the most influential when it comes to our ability to “be the change we want to see in the world.”

“Faith is taking the first step, even if you don’t see the whole staircase.” – Martin Luther King Jr.

For Blog Action Day 2012 I’m sure you picked up some valuable tips for implementing The Power of We – tips that you can implement now and carry throughout the year!

“Make the right thing, the easy thing”

“What kind of changemaker are you?”

“Investigators – Communicators – Builders – Networkers”
