Announcing Global Patriot Day – March 20th

Welcome to the many Twitter followers of Global Patriot, and thanks for all your amazing support! The profound notion that we must all live together as one united family in order to solve the serious problems that exist in the world has inspired me to create Global Patriot Day, supporting the idea of Patriotism Without Borders!

This is a day when we celebrate the accomplishments of the many millions on this planet who work tirelessly on a daily basis to alleviate severe hunger and poverty, supply vital medical treatments, end conflict and warfare, and strive to create a more sustainable environment.

It also gives us the opportunity to look inside and reflect upon how each of us can live a life which is more respectful of humanity and all of nature, and in doing so rededicate ourselves to change, both internal and external, with the goal of improving the lives of those who are in such desperate need. Fact is, this planet has been seriously abused for far too long, and it’s up to us to right that wrong.

How can you help support the goals and ideals of Global Patriot Day?

1) Nothing is more important than your personal actions. If you do nothing else, become more conscious of your thoughts, words and actions, then think of new ways in which you can make a difference and become one of the many who do so each day.

2) Join the Global Patriot group on Facebook. This group is a place to show your support, to share information and discuss ways in which we can solve problems – http://twurl.nl/qcupvn

3) Invite others to join the group. Whether they’re a friend on Facebook or follow you on Twitter, reach out to those who would benefit from membership. Let’s see how quickly we can reach the goal of 100,000 members from around the globe!

4) Tweet the name of a person or organization who best represents the ideals of being a Global Patriot using the hash tag #GlobalPatriotDay Such recognition is a great way to thank others for their valiant efforts and to inspire each of us to do something new that will change the world in a positive way.

5) Spreading the word internationally is of great importance, so for those of you with global connections, or who live outside the U.S., your support is very important.

6) Visit the GlobalPatriot.com blog – sign up for email notification or subscribe to the RSS feed, and leave comments to foster discussion of important issues.
